In October 2007 I ran across a seller who needed a quick sale on some furnitre. So, I bought the slatted bed. It is such a perfect addition to my doll house. My pillow top mattress is a perfect fit, too!
And then, I found this cute little shelf on Ebay for $4.99. I thought it was a small one to be used as salt and pepper shakers. To my delight it is a huge cabinet and brings in just the right country green into the room.
The little table to the right is also somewhat new and is for the laptop computer use.
Before:
Kitchen - heart of the home. I love this room with the customized Sindy cabinets, Pottery Barn table (height increased with wooden beads) and the parquet floor I made myself.
Stairwell. One of the last things that was finished and ever so hard to do. The moose head is just there until I find a way to mount it and put somewhere else.
Sorry for the crooked TV, i didn't see that the front was coming off. Boy, those spiral stairs were the hardes to get done. The ceiling fan is made from a car air freshener and the blades are from a mini hand fan. The door, refinished by myself, is from www.shrunkentreasures.com
Master bedroom. Fireplace unit is a Sindy Light and Sound (no lights or sound anymore), the bed is home made, the quilt is pre-printed fabric that I made to look like hand quilted one by making the swuares smaller. The chair is a pin cushion chair from Joannes. The closet, not shown, to far right needs to have doors made for it still. The flooring is a wooden mini blind.Bath. I wanted an old timey bath look and I think I achieved it. The sink is a repained Sindy sink, tub/shower is a repainted Barbie set, the shower curtain is home made from preprinted fabric from Walmart covered in finyl. The toilet is a modified Sindy toilet. The cabinet on far right is a repainted gun cabinet. I left the stair well showing so that you can see the placement of the bathroom next to it. The toilet water tank is a piece of leftover molding for my real house decorating idea.
